The architectural project deals with issues relating to live in crowed city, such as density, life quality and individual singularity inside society. The landscape arrangement upgrades metropolitan surroundings. The mixed uses complex organized to fit different stages of a people’s life.
The first building follows the lanes corner and offers a new street perspective. The project develops diverse condos built from a 20/20 ft. module. Every apartment typology expands on various highs to be conform to established urban context. Wooden bridges link houses rows. Those shared spaces suggest a collaborative lifestyle. The stacking of houses allows inhabitants to open private terraces. There are amenities, shops and small equipment on the ground floor.
The second building is a wall inhabited by several ambiances, vegetal, mineral and aquatic. The wall brings pecking order to housing grid by isolating private from public areas, and by separating built from green spaces. Preserving the existing topography, we create a public space extension into the project like a street suspended to houses basis. We choose to take benefits from wood which can ensure a long range and save us money. There is no need to treat the underside of bridges and terraces.
Apartments include individual homes specifications: a private entrance, a garden, four orientations and high ceilings. The elevation design solves repetition issues by generate different treatments. Every facade is processed in an unique way. We also accumulate vegetal types: pergolas, green rooftop, shared gardens, plant wall…
A high interest has been granted to construction details to use only standard components features, but appearing like high-end finishes. Every elevation is processed in a unique way, and users can recognize their own house in the aggregation.
To save money, all of the shared spaces like bridges and terraces are prefabricated wood components. Wood is cheap to manufacture, allows high range and do not need to be cover like for concrete’s components.
It is a collective project speaking to the personal character of everyone.
